[Bea’s Ranting Reviews] Terminator: Salvation [2009] by Bea Harper

Dir.: McG Starring: Christian Bale, Sam Worthingon, Bryce Dallas Howard, Moon Bloodgood, Michael Ironside and Anton Yelchin Looks spectacular, features more than commendable action set pieces, visual effects and world building with some beautiful animatronics and a generally good cast but by GOD, the story is a veritable porridge of incomprehensible macheta! Allow me to … Continue reading →

[Bea’s Ranting Reviews] Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines [2003] by Bea Harper

Dir.: Jonathan Mostow Starring: Nick Stahl, Claire Danes, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Kristanna Loken *Note- Mostows’ film is actually known as U-571. I blame the Derp Monkey for my incompetence. Dir.: James Cameron Starring: Linda Hamilton, Edward Furlong, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Robert Patrick, Joe Morton, Xander Berkley and Jeanette Goldstein Thoughts on T2 since to write a paragraph would have me descend into incomprehensible praising; – If a man comes into your house to tear off his arm and reveal a metallic endoskeleton underneath it, you would … Continue reading →

[Bea’s Ranting Reviews] Alien Vs. Predator [2004] by Bea Harper

\ Dir.: Paul W.S. Anderson Starring: Sanaa Lathan, Raoul Bova, Ewen Bremmer, Lance Henricksen and Colin Salmon Although bothersome, ridiculous and downright nonsensical as Paul W.S. Andersons’ adaptation in name only of Alien Vs. Predator is, with the gift of reflection it’s not downright terrible with a side of repugnance that many hardcore fans may … Continue reading →

[Bea’s Ranting Reviews] Predators [2010] by Bea Harper

Dir.: Nimrod Antal Starring: Adrien Brody, Alice Braga, Walton Goggins, Laurence Fishburne and Topher Grace A welcome if bogged down by its own appreciation for films past return to the franchise, the Robert Rodriguez-produced Predators enjoyed a modest success upon release and a generally positive fan reception. While the film does feel rushed and highly … Continue reading →

[Bea’s Ranting Reviews] Predator 2 [1990] by Bea Harper

Dir.: Stephen Hopkins Starring: Danny Glover, Rueben Blades, Maria Conchita Alonso, Gary Busey and Bill Paxton A worthy if slightly underwhelming sequel to John McTiernans’ rock-ém, sock-’em Predator with Danny Glover as the dogged Detective Harrigan who finds himself in the thick of a violent clash between the Jamaican-Columbian drug wars only to find out … Continue reading →
