Okie doke, this is my inaugural short film review, so if it’s short, it’s probably precisely for that reason! Lowdown: A young boy hides in the closet from a pair of menacing strangers who have invaded his house with murder on their minds. When it comes to putting together a short film of any genre, … Continue reading

Writer: Paul Bedford Illustrators: Henry Pop and Tom Bonin Published: April 1st 2012 Here is a question that all of us have asked each other and ourselves- how far would we go to achieve what we desire? How much would we believe in the actions we took would benefit a higher goal? It’s a question … Continue reading
I am bound by duty and desire on SuperMarcey.com to give my own worthless two pence about anything Dracula, thus, I give you my own little analysis of the new cinematic trailer for “Dracula Untold” starring Luke Evans, Dominic Cooper and Charles Dance. This will not really be a step by step hash of the … Continue reading

Once upon a time, in a far away land, Angelina Jolie, one of the most bankable and popular actresses ever to grace the modern screen brought to life one of Disney’s most iconic and beloved villains to life- Maleficent. A character so wicked, cruel and calculating she scared the very pants off you because she … Continue reading

Dir.: Agnieszka Holland Writers: Scott Abbott, James Wong and Ira Levin Stars: Zoe Saldana, Patrick J. Adams, Jason Isaacs and Carole Bouqet I personally have no allegiance to Roman Polanski’s chiller originally penned by Ira Levin. I have seen it several times and it certainly more or less has earned it’s praises, but it’s not a … Continue reading
To be charitable to Paul W.S Anderson, the guy is a brilliant business man and is capable of delivering visually pleasing, entertaining yet mindless fare. While the “Resident Evil” games are hardly high art or the epitome of brilliant story telling and character development, I feel he ventured way too far off the beaten track while … Continue reading

*First and foremost, my apologies for not including the crew details from last week’s episode. “Night Work” was directed by Juan Antonio Bayona and written by John Logan. Once again, my mistake* Episode 2: Seance Dir.: Juan Antonio Bayona Writer: John Logan Within one episode, “Penny Dreadful” has been able to seduce and coerce it’s … Continue reading
I will get this out of the way- I am not what you’d traditionally call a fan of Sam Raimi’s immortal Deadite Legacy but I can sure as Hell appreciate it and the minds behind it. But as it so happens, “Army of Darkness” is my favourite out of the trilogy because of how straight … Continue reading

Yes, I took my sweet ass time to deliver another 90’s vampire movie but isn’t my sweet ass worth waiting for? Haters to the left. Dir. Guillermo Del Toro Starring: Federico Luppi, Ron Pearlman and Claudio Brook To my mind, I feel that Guillermo Del Toro’s first full-length feature film “Cronos” is one of the … Continue reading

When Marcey asked me to do a weekly coverage of Showtime’s brand new thriller/horror offering aptly named “Penny Dreadful” saying it was right up my dark alley, I knew I had to do some reading on it and what can I say? “Penny Dreadful” is what I am all ABOUT my friends! Taking place in … Continue reading
This is one movie I’ve been salivating to cover on this site for some time now and finally I can! “John Carpenter’s Vampires” holds the distinction of being one of my supreme favourite “great bad movies” due to it’s offensive humour, questionable characters and overall spitting upon good taste. However, to it’s credit, the movie … Continue reading
GuuuuhREETINGS! So, rather than kill my Facebook page with my Follies, I decided to make the move to Twitter in order to do a blow by blow film review/snark-fest. And what better film to christen it with than Paul W.S. Anderson’s promising directorial debut “Event Horizon”! While uneven and highly derivative, it offered a good … Continue reading
In case you darling pandas didn’t figure it out, I adore everything piratical, my book review of “Pirate Latitudes” was the equivalent of a nine-iron to the face in terms of just how much the wolves of the ocean amaze and astound me. Given “Latitudes” is on the way to becoming a full-fledged cinematic feature, … Continue reading
You know what? I’m not even gonna explain this article. 😀 Dracula: Mads Mikkelsen For those of you who chose to brave my Top Five Dracula’s, you know ultimately I would not complain if any one of those men were cast as the Count. For the sake of this particular endeavor however, my divining rod … Continue reading
