[Audio Review] Ocean’s Eight (2018) by Bede Jermyn

Back in 2001 after winning the Best Director Oscar for TRAFFIC, director Steven Soderbergh released one of the biggest hits of career with his all-star remake of 1960 ‘Rat Pack’ heist classic OCEAN’S ELEVEN. The film was critically/box office smash hit, and its success led to start of a new franchise being born with two equally hit sequels being released in 2004 (OCEAN’S TWELVE) and 2007 (OCEAN’S THIRTEEN) respectively. Now 11 years after the last film, the series is reborn with the Soderbergh produced sequel/spin-off OCEAN’S EIGHT, this time under direction of Gary Ross (PLEASANTVILLE, SEABISCUIT, THE HUNGER GAMES) and starring an all-star ensemble of today’s best actresses (Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathway and many more). The following review of the film is in an audio format. Enjoy!
