One filmmaker who is carving himself as a major name in the world of cinema at the moment is Chilean director Sebastián Lelio. While his first few films (THE SACRED FAMILY, NAVIDAD, THE YEAR OF THE TIGER) received had been well reviewed film festival hits, it wasn’t until his 2013 film GLORIA that made he a filmmaker to watch among moviegoers. However he gained greater international success with his follow-up film A FANTASIC WOMAN, which earlier this year became the Chilean film to win the Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film. Now Lelio is back with his latest film DISOBEDIENCE starring Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams, an exploration on sexuality and faith that also marks his English language film debut. The following review of the film is in an audio format. Enjoy!
