[Wrestling] NXT TakeOver: Respect 7/10/2015

NXT is back with another live WWE Network special with NXT TakeOver: Respect, easily an event I anticipate a lot more than Monday Night Raw at this stage. So far with all of their TakeOver specials, NXT has delivered and then some. Not only do these events live up to the hype, they exceed those … Continue reading →

[Audio Review] Sicario (2015)

Now originally I was going to do a written review for Sicario, however when I went to write something down I just couldn’t work out how to get my feelings out properly. So instead I opted to do an audio review, which in this case I found it a lot easier to speak about the … Continue reading →

[Audio Review] Pan (2015) by Super Marcey, Bede and Bea

British director Joe Wright has brought us many critically acclaimed and award-winning films over the pass decade (ATONEMENT, PRIDE & PREJUDICE, ANNA KARENINA, HANNA etc.), now he sets his eyes on crossing over to blockbuster territory with his latest film PAN (which is a prequel to J.M. Barrie’s classic PETER PAN story). Super Marcey, Bede ‘The Terrible … Continue reading →

[Audio Review] Oddball (2015) by Super Marcey, Bede and Bea

[Bea’s Ranting Reviews] Hellsing Ultimate OVA [2006-2012] by Bea Harper

One of my passions, one of my loves, one of my inspirations, Hellsing has been a crucial part of my creative life and as a fan of the vampire genre AND Dracula, this was a match made in Heaven according to me when I was first introduced into it’s work all of those years ago. I … Continue reading →

[Audio Review] Everest (2015) by Super Marcey, Bede and Bea

It’s no secret that one of the most effective types of films out there are ones that are based a true story, which made the survival drama EVEREST (which features an all-star cast including Jason Clarke, Josh Brolin, Jake Gyllenhaal and many more) an even more powerful and engaging experience. Super Marcey, Bede ‘The Terrible Australian’ … Continue reading →

[31 Days Of Horror ’15] The Town That Dreaded Sundown (2014)

The new version of The Town That Dreaded Sundown is part sequel/part remake/part meta film, this one almost is a sequel version to the actual events that took place in 1946. Yes taking place after the real events, using the 1976 film as almost a backdrop, it appears the Phantom killer has returned to the … Continue reading →

[31 Days Of Horror ’15] The Town That Dreaded Sundown (1976)

Horror films from the 70’s are an interesting bunch, and visiting or re-visiting them is always an experience, whether or not the film is any good. The Town That Dreaded Sundown is a film that has certainly been influential with the genre and in particular the slasher sub-genre. But is it any good and worth … Continue reading →

[31 Days Of Horror ’15] The Sacrament (2013)

Ti West is an interesting filmmaker, his films generally seem to be the slow burn horror/thriller that get right under your skin. I really liked and enjoyed The House Of The Devil and The Innkeepers, so stepping into The Sacrament I thought I knew what I was getting into, boy was I wrong! The Sacrament … Continue reading →

Dir.: William Castle Starring: Vincent Price and Carol Omhart (let’s face it, they are the only two that count) Cheesey, dated and not the least bit serious, schlock master William Castle’s House On Haunted Hill keeps its head above acid with a delicious snide double act performance from Price and Omhart as spiteful spouses Fredrick … Continue reading →
