If you ask anyone on the planet who they would consider as one of the most important, beloved and influential figures of our time: I bet you any money one of the first names to be mentioned would be former South African President Nelson Mandela. Even though he sadly passed away a few months ago, … Continue reading
I am currently reading Mr. Schwarzenegger’s autobiography ‘Total Recall’ and it got me thinking about his roles, he actually has played a lot of different characters and some are more memorable than others. So who would make my list of Top 5 Favourites? A list that was not an easy undertaking, but I can safely … Continue reading

Let me be quite frank, I have waited all my movie loving life to see two of my favourite men of action Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger star along side each other in an action film. Yes they were both in two EXPENDABLES films, but one was the star and the other a glorified cameo. … Continue reading

It perhaps isn’t even worth mentioning the remake trend, especially with horror films. We all know about it, it has been around for years and shows no signs of going away. All I Know – A Memoir Of Love, Loss and Life Author: Mary Coustas Year: 2013 Publisher: Allen & Unwin I don’t feel I can really review this book in the usual manner, it is though a beautiful piece written from the heart and it is an emotional roller coaster. It is well written of … Continue reading

Rocky vs. Raging Bull! Stallone vs. De Niro, the two stars of two of the greatest films ever made. GRUDGE MATCH is what we get with that very simple premise, in some ways this feels like a lighter version of ROCKY BALBOA, with the washed up old boxers going at it one more time. The … Continue reading
Yet another life taken too soon from what is being reported as a drug overdose, it makes me so sad and mad that people out there no matter who still feel the need to take drugs, when death is always just around the corner from it. Philip Seymour Hoffman, who was one of the greatest … Continue reading
“I’m Easy” by Keith Carradine (from NASHVILLE) – Bede Jermyn
Is January over already? Insane isn’t it? Well normally with my viewing for each month, I’ll give a run down of my first time watches and re-watches and list some awards for the first time watches. However January I did not see very many films, so instead I have just listed what I have watched … Continue reading
