RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman – (1967 – 2014) A Tribute

Yet another life taken too soon from what is being reported as a drug overdose, it makes me so sad and mad that people out there no matter who still feel the need to take drugs, when death is always just around the corner from it.

Philip Seymour Hoffman, who was one of the greatest and most talented working actors passed away today. My heart sank, I honestly had no idea he had a problem with drugs and that he had these powerful demons. As sad as it is and as shocking as it is, I hope people wake up to themselves and understand that drugs are not and never are the answer. Unfortunately it seems Mr. Hoffman just couldn’t fight them off and it is a very sad shame.

I have been a fan of his for as long as I can remember, always taking on such versatile roles, in one film you’d absolutely hate him and in another he’s a sweetheart and then a big goof. That was his talent, for becoming different characters very convincingly that it did led him to lots of awards and recognition and even the Oscar.

He leaves behind his body of work, he may not be with us physically any longer but his films will always live on and we’ll always appreciate what he did as an actor.

I hope he is now at peace, and our thoughts are with his family.

No matter his cause of death, what he went through, thank you Mr. Hoffman for entertaining us and being an inspiration for actors and fans alike with your talents.

Here is a clip from his Oscar winning role, playing Truman Capote
