V For Vendetta [2005] Everybody has a few of those films in their minds that has helped shaped their world, their perceptions and their love for the medium. James McTeigue’s contemporary (and for my money, far superior) adaptation of Alan Moore’s staunchly political graphic novel is one of the few movies that have changed the way I … Continue reading

Here at SuperMarcey.com we like to keep it classy to balance out with the reckless revelry and fabulous misbehavior. Like everybody else out there who have read or performed Shakespeare, I have a relationship that crosses the bounds between gramercy and begrudement. On one hand I too am thankful for the fact he put quill … Continue reading

“Are You Ready For Freddy” by The Fat Boys (from A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 4: THE DREAM MASTER) – Bede Jermyn
No fancy word play, no snark, no self-depreciation in the form of clever little annotations. Just raw opinion and an emotional response to an unfortunate situation in the world of the horror genre… and cinema in general. Horror almost always seems to cater to the straight, often male gaze that there doesn’t seem to be … Continue reading

Hey everyone! Welcome to the 17th edition of my Bad Movie Tweet-A-Thon series. As you already know last month here on SuperMarcey.com, I said that this edition was going to be a special horror themed one in honour of Halloween this month. I posted up poll with three bad horror movies and I said that whichever one out of those three films … Continue reading
Fair warning: This self-indulgent, borderline pretentious looksee WILL contain spoilers pertaining the characters of Batman and the Joker in comics, games and other media. Avoid like Joker Toxin if you do not want your own experience to be spoiled. I repeat. SPOILERS. SPOIIIIIIIILEEEERRRRRS! Everybody loves Batman. Well, mayhaps not everybody, but the general consensus says … Continue reading
I have seen people on YouTube do video’s like this, and I thought I may take a shot but do it as two articles. With my 30th birthday coming up, I figured it would be a good time to list one film each year of my life. The films I have chosen are ones that … Continue reading
Ever since the dawn of our existence, we humans fear what we don’t understand or in some cases prefer not to understand. The power of giving something or somebody a name comforts us and helps us deal with something that is beyond our control. Our ancestors gave natural occurrences in nature names and faces in … Continue reading

From a match standpoint, not a single moment from last nights event left me dissapointed. Storyline wise, I can only say that I have one gripe about how things played out. But for not knowing exactly when we’ll see Lesnar compete again, they set us up fresh feuds that will keep us plenty busy and … Continue reading
