Welcome back to our podcast series from The Super Network and Pop4D called Tubi Tuesdays! This podcast series is focused on discovering and doing commentaries for films found on the free streaming service Tubi, at TubiTV
Your hosts for Tubi Tuesdays are Super Marcey, ‘The Terrible Australian’ Bede Jermyn and Prof. Batch (co-host of Web Tales: A Spider-Man Podcast), will take turns each week picking a film to watch and most of them will be ones we haven’t seen before.
The Halloween Spooky season has come to an end as we find ourselves in November and your trio of madness Super Marcey, Bede and Batch decided that November would be Charles Bronson month! We talk about him non-stop but haven’t actually done any films of his, so here we are! On this special 40th episode of The Tubi Tuesday’s Podcast, Super Marcey decided to invite Mr Super Marcey/Graham Green on our guest to join in on the madness! Watch out, Pop4D’s XBox Achievement Wars just ended and Batch took the win, someone isn’t too happy! Oh where were we? Yes, this week Bede chose the film and decided that Christmas was coming early as we watch Yes Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus (1991) a made for TV film none of us had heard of before.
Yes Virginia, There Is A Santa Claus was directed by Charles Jarrott, and stars Charles Bronson, Ed Asner, Richard Thomas, Katharine Isabelle and some very dodgey Irish accents.
If you have never listened to a commentary before and want to watch the film along with the podcast, here is how it works. You simply need to grab a copy of the film or load it up on Tubi (you may need alcohol), and sync up the podcast audio with the film. We will tell you when to press and you follow along, it is that easy! Because we have watched the films on Tubi, it is a free service and there are ads, however we will give a warning when it comes up, so you can pause the film.
Highlights include:
* Thanks for joining the insanity Graham!
* Hey Batch, watcha smokin this week?
* Ed Asner and Charles Bronson in the same film?!
* Prepare for non stop Irish accents.
* Some jokes are rather … problematic … Marcey is sorry.
* So … Charles Bronson is an alcoholic in this film?
* The weirdest thing makes Bede lose it with laughter … leaving us confused.
* The Charles Bronson impressions … never stop … ever
* Plus much, much more!
