Bede’s 2018 31 Days Of Halloween Viewing List: 62 Horror Films In 31 Days

Oh, boy! October is just about here and that means that one of the best times of year is once again upon us. Yep, that’s right, everyone …It’s the Halloween season! Like many of my fellow horror fans out there, I’m going to spend the entire month watching horror films non-stop. Even though I do watch horror films all the time anyway, the Halloween season always puts me into the spirit to watch even more them regardless. When it comes which films I decide to put on my viewing list to watch over the month of October, I always do something a little different when compared to everyone else’s lists. How so you ask? While most horror fans stick to seeing about 31 horror films over the course of the month, I always up the ante by doubling the amount of films I’ll be watching by raising it to 62 instead. Yep, that’s right: 62 horror films. Which means I’ll be checking out two films per day throughout the month of October. If you’ve been following me here on The Super Network over the pass few years, you will already know that this is theme/challenge that I always love to do with my viewing list. However when it comes to mine, I do have some ground rules that I always follow in regards to which 62 films I put on my list:

1: All the horror films have to be ones that I have never seen before.

2: 31 of the films have to be older ones made before the year 2010 while other 31 films must be newer ones released after 2010.

3: Sequels are not allowed to be included, only stand alone films instead.

Having done this theme quite a few times now, i always find it a lot of fun because it gives me more opportunities to check out a lot more horror films, both old and new, that I hadn’t got around to seeing yet. What I do like about my final selections is that it’s a mixture of many different types of horror films: vampires, zombies, giallo, Aussie horror films, supernatural, Hammer Horror films, foreign horror, possession, slashers, found-footage, surreal, psychological, werewolves, horror comedies, Vincent Price films, anthologies, monsters, sci-fi horror, serial killers, occult and so much more. Plus I’ll also be adding a couple of bonus films on certain days that’ll either be rewatches of older horror films that are playing as part as film festival/special event screenings or newly released horror films that have just hit cinemas/streaming services. Now the question remains: will I be able to watch them all? It’s never easy but it’s a challenge I’m willing to accept. So without further ado, here’s my complete final viewing list of every horror film I’ll be seeing in October…
