Bede’s 2015 Halloween Viewing List: 62 Horror Films In 31 Days

Oh, yeah! It’s almost that time of the year once again everyone! October is almost here and you know what that means only one thing…It’s Halloween time! Like many horror fans on the planet, I’ll be spending the entire month watching horror films. When it comes to my viewing list, I always like to have a theme with the type of films that I’ll be watching during October. One of my favourite themes I like during is one I like to call “62 Horror Films In 31 Days”, which I watch 62 horror films that I’ve never seen before (so basically it’ll be two horror films a day). 31 of which are older films made before the year 2001, while the other 31 will be newer films released in the last few years. I’ve done this theme twice before (in 2012 and 2013) and I really enjoyed it. I was going to again last year but since a lot of prior commitments in my personal life during that October (I had to attend a wedding and then went on a holiday), it just wasn’t possible to do it and I had to do a different theme instead (which you can check out here). Luckily since I don’t have anything major planned this October, I decided to redo the “62 Horror Films In 31 Days” theme again this year!

Just like my 2013 Halloween list, I’ve decided that I won’t be watching any sequels but instead, focus more stand-alone/non-sequel horror films. What I do like about my final selections is that it’s a mixture of many different types of horror films. There’s a little bit of everything: vampire, zombie, alien, giallo, Aussie, ghost, Hammer, foreign, possession, slasher, Stephen King, found-footage, mockumentary, surreal, psychological, werewolves, comedy, Vincent Price, Universal monsters, anthology, creatures and witches. Also besides these 31 films I’ve chosen, they’ll also be a couple of bonus films I’ll be seeing on certain days too (they will be a mixture of rewatches, special cinema screenings of older horror films and cinema releases of some new horror films). Now the question remains: will I be able to watch them all? well, stay tuned and find out!
