The Super Network

Now that October in finally upon us once again, that means only one thing…It’s Halloween time! Like my podcasting co-host Super Marcey, I’ll also be spending the month doing a marathon of horror films. For my marathon last year,  I watched 62 horror films that I’ve never seen before (31 of which were older films made before the year 2000, while the other 31 were newer films released after 2000). I had a really great time doing that last year, I’ve decided I would do it again this year as well. So that means I’ll be watching two horror films every day during the course of October. However I also decided that I won’t be watching any sequels. The reason being that while I was first putting the list together, I noticed that there was far too many sequels on there. So I thought it would be best not to include any sequels on this year’s list but instead on more original/stand-alone/non-sequel films. What I do like about my final selections is that it’s a mixture of many different types of horror films. There’s a little bit of everything: vampire, zombie, alien, giallo, Aussie, ghost, Hammer, Spanish, possession, slasher, found-footage, serial killer, comedy, Vincent Price, Universal monsters, surreal, silent film, home invasion, anthology, Asian, creatures and witches. Now the question remains: will I be able to watch them all? well, stay tuned and find out!
