So Jean-Claude Van Damme is one of my favourite actors and action stars, so how is it that I have not yet done a list related to him? Well that is now being changed, because I am here to offer a list! With all the things I could write about in regards to Van Damme, … Continue reading

Lowdown: A bunch of friends assemble for their regular ‘games night’. When they make the mistake of misusing an Ouija board things go to Hell and friendships are tested. What I love about some horror films is that they take the opportunity to broach common, almost mundane subjects that trouble us all … Continue reading

Lowdown: A group of children play in an abandoned building with naught but a light switch. Although the concept of creepiness is subjective depending on the beholder, William Princes’ 15 minute short ‘Click’ is one of my favourite UK-based horror shorts because it doesn’t rely on make up, sensationalism and bombastic means of getting your attention. … Continue reading

Okie doke, this is my inaugural short film review, so if it’s short, it’s probably precisely for that reason! Lowdown: A young boy hides in the closet from a pair of menacing strangers who have invaded his house with murder on their minds. When it comes to putting together a short film of any genre, … Continue reading

ANINA was submitted for the Oscars, for the Best Foreign Language Film category from Uruguay. It was not successful in getting a nomination unfortunately, but it is more than deserving of that honour. This is a beautiful film, with fantastic animation and a great story. It is honestly always a pleasure to see animation that … Continue reading

A character so wicked, cruel and calculating she scared the very pants off you because she … Continue reading
