PSYCHO 2 (1983) What’s one of the most typical things that happen to a beloved and successful film? Why a sequel, prequel or remake of course! One that should never have been thought up to do that to was Psycho; Hitchcock’s masterpiece was well a masterpiece! You don’t dare touch that (unless you feel whacked … Continue reading

SISTERS (1973) I have always been a Brian De Palma fan, some of his films are better than others, and then there are ones that should be forgotten about. Whole browsing a website that had some film titles, I came across Sisters, and I was surprised to see his name down. I hadn’t heard of … Continue reading

PAPERHOUSE (1988) This entry into the 31 Days Of Horror viewing came as a suggestion from my good friend Sam. I blindly added it to the list; I didn’t even read a synopsis. As I sat down to watch it, there was something eerily familiar about everything, had I seen this before? I think somewhere … Continue reading

SOCIETY (1989) As a Brian Yuzna fan, I feel like a bit of an idiot. I always thought that Bride Of Re-Animator was his directorial debut. But when a friend told me about Society, I looked it up and discovered that this bad boy was in fact his debut. The film looked quite sick and … Continue reading

DR JEKYLL AND SISTER HYDE (1971) This entry for my 31 Days Of Horror comes from my good friend A.J, he brought it up on a past podcast and based upon his recommendation I sought it out. Once I had it though I forgot all about it, and when making my list I remembered it … Continue reading

PRISON (1988) Renny Harlin, Viggo Mortensen and Lane Smith, a recipe for awesome right? You betchya! As I became a fan of Renny Harlin’s, I really wanted to discover his earlier work. As you could imagine, it was really hard to find. But by chance I came across Prison (1988) and I had to grab … Continue reading

Thirst (2009) This is probably one of the more challenging films to write a review for, because there is so much to say and discuss. At the same time I don’t want to spoil anything, and I am not sure my words can really do the film justice. Thirst is a Park Chan-wook film and … Continue reading

MY BLOODY VALENTINE (1981) So I unfortunately didn’t get to My Bloody Valentine (1981) last year with my horror film marathon, so I slapped it on this years viewing list deciding once and for all to catch it. I really enjoyed the remake, and I thought ‘damn the original must be awesome then’, oh boy … Continue reading

THE HOUSE OF THE DEVIL (2009) So I had been putting off watching The House Of The Devil, initially I was pretty pumped for it but then I kept hearing it was a bore and nothing happened. Those words really stuck with me, and I was just so hesitant to actually watch it. I really … Continue reading

THE BLOOD SPATTERED BRIDE (1972) The only reason I had actually heard about this film is because Quentin Tarantino mentions it quite a lot. He puts it on Top Lists; he named a chapter in Kill Bill after it. Eli Roth also talks about it quite a bit, so between the two of them, the … Continue reading

PATRICK (1978) Patrick has been one of those horror films where for as long as I can remember I’ve heard about it but just hadn’t managed to see it. So for this 31 Days Of Horror challenge I thought to myself ‘now is as good a time as any’, so I placed it on my … Continue reading
