[Review] The Lone Ranger (2013) by Bea Harper

I have always had a huge affinity for the pulp serials of the 30’s- oh yeah, they were HARDLY politically correct when it came to matters such as ethnicity, gender roles and the portrayal of human condition, but they were also simple and most importantly, escapist. Considering the time when this media was available, tough … Continue reading →

Oz Comic Con 2013 Photos Part 2

For the weekend of July 6th and 7th, the second annual Melbourne Oz Comic Con was held at the Royal Exhibition Building. The event was grand, there was lots to see and do, with a great amount of stalls, exhibitors, artists, writers and of course the TV/Film stars! The layout of the event was great, … Continue reading →

[Review] Man Of Steel (2013) by Daniel McIntosh

Well finally after 7 years we finally have Superman gracing the screens of our local multiplex cinemas. I have seen the movie twice now and I am still trying to work out exactly how I feel about it. Bea’s Facebook Follies: Resident Evil

Speaking objectively, as a general film in terms of entertainment, the first ‘Resident Evil’ really isn’t a bad effort. If we forget for a moment what the series would become (that is an entire CLUSTERFUCK of money, time and potential talent), this movie made more of a concious effort to be a standalone rather than … Continue reading →

Film Trailer Of The Week #10: Godzilla (1954)

Bea’s Facebook Follies: Resident Evil – Retribution

And now, the latest slap in the face to the ‘Resident Evil’ franchise, ‘Retribution’. At first I thought this movie was trying to be fancy giving itself this subtitle, but the more I think about it, the more appropriate it seems- retribution on it’s suffering audience for being optimistic, retribution on those who still think … Continue reading →

Bea’s Facebook Follies: Breaking Dawn Part 2

First impressions are indeed everything when it comes to making a reputation of oneself. Thusly, welcome to my inaugural new article “Facebook Follies”, which is similar to The Terrible Australian’s Bad Movie Tweet-A-Thon, only on Facebook and hopefully more movies that are less likely to make Baby Jesus cry. I will be doing a blow-by-blow … Continue reading →
