Join your co-hosts ‘Super’ Marcey and the ‘Terrible Australian’ Bede Jermyn as they welcome The Super Network regular and first time guest on The King Zone – Beatrix Harper (Goodness Bea) to discuss all things Lisey’s Story (2021), the recent limited series from Apple+, based on the book by Stephen King who also wrote teleplay for all 8 episodes. Beatrix brings her knowledge and view having read the novel several years ago with Bede and Marcey having just watched the show.

Lisey’s Story was directed by Pablo Larraín and it stars Julianne Moore, Clive Owen, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Joan Allen, Dane DeHaan, Sung Kang, Michael Pitt and Ron Cephas Jones. The story revolves around Lisey (Julianne Moore), who two years on from her husbands Scott Landon’s (Clive Owen) sudden death still struggles with the loss, when she is pulled into a story of a treasure hunt her late husband left behind. Lisey must also deal with her sister Amanda’s (Joan Allen) mental decline and the pressures from her other sister Darla (Jennifer Jason Leigh) for them to look after her. All the while a Professor (Ron Cephas Jones) brings on obsessed fan Jim Dooley (Dane DeHaan) to help secure Scott’s unpublished works.
