I can’t it believe it’s almost here. In a few days time the Academy Awards will finally be announced. Like with previous years, this year’s Oscars had its fair share of controversies. The main three being the lack of diversity among the acting nominees, the best picture line-up feeling pretty safe or and finally no women filmmakers were among the Best Director nominees. Regardless whether you believe that these a real legitimate problems or feel like it’s just blown out of proportion, this year’s ceremony has definitely had a lot of people talking. For me personally, I take it all for what it is and just sit back and enjoy how the event turns out. Sure it is disappointing when some of my favourite films and performances get snubbed but honestly at the end of the day, the Oscars are about having fun and celebrating cinema over the pass year. That’s the mentally I always go into when I watch the ceremony whether I agree with their choices or not. Although that being said, I hope that I do better with my predictions this year. Especially in the Best Picture category. Having guessed that category wrong four times over the pass four years, I’m literally praying that my picks for this year’s Oscars put me back on track. If I get it wrong again for a fifth time in a row, I’m going to feel more embarrassed as a film fan. So without further ado, here’s my write-up are who I predict will win an Oscar at the 2020 Academy Awards. Enjoy!

Is it just me or do the Oscars feel overly predictable this year? Some surprises might happen though … we shall see!
