Super Podcast Christmas Audio Commentary: Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)
Welcome back to another edition of our special Super Podcast Audio Commentary editions listeners!
Merry Christmas and happy holidays everyone! Now that Christmas time is already upon us – you know what that means! It’s time for our special annual Christmas themed audio commentary! In fact were going to give you not one but two this year! Unfortunately your regular co-host ‘Super’ Marcey Papandrea wasn’t able to join this episode due to technical difficulties but don’t worry, co-host Bede ‘The Terrible Australian’ Jermyn along with returning guest Matt Konopka from Killer Horror Critic took the reigns on this one. For the first of our two special Christmas themed audio commentaries this year, we decided to tackle a bit of Christmas you horror by doing a commentary on one of the infamous and controversial horror films to come out of the ’80s: the 1984 killer Santa Claus slasher film SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT.
If you have never listened to a commentary, here is how it works. You simply need to grab a copy of the film, and sync up the podcast audio with the film. We will tell you when to press start, it is that easy! You can listen to it while you watch the film or listen to it on its own.
NOTE: There are two different cuts of SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT that are out there at the moment, which are the Theatrical version and the Uncut version. For this audio commentary, we decided to watch the Theatrical cut since that is the most readily available version of the film. So if you plan on watching the film with our commentary, that’s the one you should go with it.
