Bede’s 2019 Oscar Predictions

Oh, yeah! One of my favourite film related times of the year is almost upon us once again. In a couple of days the Academy Awards will finally be announced, which is basically the Super Bowl for film fans. That being said, it would definitely be understatement to say that this has one very interesting for the Oscars. In fact I would sat that this has been the most heated and criticised lead-up to the Oscars that I have ever seen. Between all the controversies between surrounding actor/comedian Kevin Hart as the host and then him walking away from the gig (leaving the Oscars without a host for the first in decades), the possibility of introducing in a Best Popular Film Oscar and scraping some major technical categories from being featured on the broadcast (thank God neither of those didn’t happen), a couple of critically mixed or maligned film nominated for major awards, critically acclaimed films being snubbed, no female directors were nominated and many others as well. As you can see, it’s been a full on Oscar season this year. For me personally, it’s definitely one of the most exciting and surprising ones in quite a while since I honestly don’t who exactly is going to win. Especially in the Best Picture category , which I feel could be in any of the nominees’ courts. No wondered it has been a little big of struggle to pick who I think will win this year. Having guessed wrong on who I thought was going to win Best Picture of the pass three years, I really do hope that my pick for this year’s event puts me back on track. If I get it wrong again for a fourth time in a row, I may have to stop predicting it all together haha.  So without further ado, here’s my write-up are who I predict will win an Oscar at the 2019 Academy Awards. Enjoy!
