You know what type of films that I really like? Ones that you’ve only seen once but somehow they continue to haunt you to the point that you’re still thinking about them many weeks after you’ve seen it. It’s that quality that I always find to be a true sign of a great film. One film that definitely falls into that category is the riveting and dark period drama LADY MACBETH, which is an English language adaptation of the Russian novel Lady Macbeth of the Mtsensk District by Nikolai Leskov. I saw the film a weeks back at early preview/media screening and I wanted to share my thoughts on it (due to both very busy work and personal life, I didn’t get a chance to until now).
