Correction: LEE. J. Cobb (Lt. William Kinderman) I got my initials screwed around. XD
What else more needs to be said? The Exorcist deserves the reputation it has earned over time and every admiration it has garnered has been justified. Call it ‘overrated’, call it ‘disgusting’, call it as you please, but keep in mind this film is heralded as a masterpiece for damn good reason and it goes beyond the violation of a crucifix. Ladies and gentlemen, allow Jesus to fuck you.
Goodnight!

The film is a masterpiece because unlike modern horror films, it has the feeling of realism. The bedroom vomit scenes definitely arouse feelings of disgust. But this is appropriate, considering the Devil is inside Regan. I wrote a short post on The Exorcist called “Three Things You Need to Perform an Exorcism.” Here is the link if you would like to read it: https://christopherjohnlindsay.wordpress.com/2014/12/27/the-exorcist/
