That movie where Loki called Black Widow a whining c**t. The box office returns, the amount of merchandise sold and the heated anticipation for Age of Ultron tells you the story loud and clear about how impactful The Avengers was and still remains. Will it hold up in 40 years time? Who knows, but right now, it added further fuel to a fire that burns in Marvels’ hearty fireplace and you can bet people still warm their hands eagerly in front of it.
Okay, so the alien invasion is more than a tad generic, but hey, something is better than nothing and at least you get Thanos-Face at the end!
