If you don’t know the name of Phil Tippett, you may know his legendary work as a visual effects supervisor/stop-motion animator behind such films as RETURN OF THE JEDI, ROBOCOP, HOWARD THE DUCK, WILLOW, STARSHIP TROOPERS and JURASSIC PARK, the latter of which he won an Oscar for. When he wasn’t working on those films, Tippett was developing independently his passion project: the dark and nightmarish full length stop-motion animated film MAD GOD. After 30 years of making it on-and-off, Tippett is finished and has released his magnum opus onto the world. Was this film worth the 30 year wait? Listen to my review to find out!
