Bede’s 2021 Oscar Predictions

Oh, yeah! It’s that time of the year again. The Academy Awards are about to be announced. Usually every year the Oscar are held in February but due to the COVID-19 pandemic last year which pushed back a lot of films, the Academy decided to hold their awards this year in April instead. Which ended up being a great thing because both the extra timeframe and some film studio’s holding off on releases their films until later in 2021/2022, it gave more films that probably wouldn’t have been a part of the conversation a chance to nominated as well. Which turned out to be a great thing in the end because this year’s nominations are probably the most diverse and interesting set we’ve had a quite a number of years (it helps that last year’s historical Best Picture winner PARASITE definitely changed the game in the industry and make the Academy go more outside of the box than usual). In fact in some of the categories, I don’t even know who’s going to win because there is really no firm frontrunner in some of them. Especially Best Actress, which still has me stumped. One I want most of all is guessing the Best Picture winner correctly. After getting the pass five winners in the category wrong, I hope that losing streak is finally broken this year. Believe me at this moment, it’s getting quite ridiculous and shameful on my part. So without further ado, here’s my write-up are who I predict will win an Oscar at the 2021 Academy Awards. Enjoy!
