Opening Segment: John Cena talks and Bray Wyatt has the whole world in his hands!

What a way to open Raw, with John Cena in the middle of the ring surrounded by the steel cage. His promo was definitely one of the better ones Cena has done recently, asking the WWE Universe why they betrayed him. Why did they vote last week for him to face all three members of the Wyatt family. His promo was the struggle of the hero to understand why those who look up to him have turned their support towards the villain and it worked.

This is where things got very creepy, a choir of kids came out singing ‘He’s Got The Whole World’ followed by the Wyatts. I can’t even describe this moment, you need to watch it. It worked well, showing the buzzards with their power over people and it was perfect. Cena’s reaction of shock and disgust was perfect (this feud has really ignited him) and Wyatt lapped it all up. The visual of the kids choir with the sheep masks was so creepy and so affective. This feud has been so great and Bray Wyatt really has the WWE Universe in his hands. No one right now is getting the insane reaction he has been getting (Daniel Bryan aside of course) and we are all lapping it up.

WWE Tag Team Title Match: The Usos (c) vs. Rybaxel

This was a fantastic match, it has been built up pretty well and these two teams have a solid rivalry going. The match itself had Jey Uso getting injured (it looked legit but who knows), and Jimmy having to fight the hard battle against both Ryback and Curtis Axel. I was very impressed with how well Jimmy held himself during the match, and Ryback looked better than he has lately, it is ashame we didn’t get to see more from Axel who definitely has the talent.

Jey did make it into the match and it was very intense, there were moments I thought the titles may just change hands, but the Uso’s retained and I hope to see this feud continue.

Between matches we get a hint of the monster Kane perhaps making an appearance with his mask being shown in the locked box and Paul Heyman is backstage with Cesaro and he talks about RVD …

Sheamus vs. Titus O’Neil

I did see their match last week and it wasn’t too shabby but this wasn’t really given much time and Titus O’Neil has potential. Perhaps give these two more time to actually put on a match, because it was hardly memorable.

RAW_1092_Photo_056

It is disappointing to see their place currently on the roster, there are a lot of guys around right now and it should be Sheamus building up Titus but this served nothing for either party. With a beat down of Sheamus and then Sheamus pinning Titus and winning was just lazy.

Hugh Jackman segment with Dolph Ziggler

The celebrity guest Hugh Jackman is here and he comes out to talk with Dolph Ziggler. Last time Hugh was on the show he did embarrass Ziggler, but the two made amends. Then Magneto comes out, or should I say Damien Sandow in a very embarrassing costume. Now I give it to Damien, he is a hard worker and he knows how to entertain. He certainly doesn’t take himself seriously and this is why his appearance works. I am hoping this does put him in a program with Ziggler and the pair are given time to actually showcase their talent.

While being Magneto, Damien tried to use his mutant power but instead got hit by both Hugh Jackman and Ziggler. A segment there for the comedy and it worked some what.

Jack Swagger vs. Cesaro

I will be honest I am enjoying this feud, both men have a lot ahead of them and putting them against each other is a great idea. Even better is that they both have two greats in their corners, with Swagger having Zeb Colter and Cesaro with Paul Heyman. What works so well is that the crowd do enjoy both men and their managers, do we boo or cheer? Or both? I love it. The match itself wasn’t too long and these guys need time to have an epic match, and I think we will get that.

RAW_1092_Photo_103

What was great and I hope we see many more interactions was Paul Heyman grabbing a hold of Zeb’s epic stashe! It was a good distraction that got Cesaro the win, but these two guys prove that after all their years in the business they are still money and still absolutely fantastic. Gimme more!

Cody Rhodes vs. Alberto Del Rio

The break-up of the Rhodes brothers is immenent and this was a match to further that. Cody and Del Rio put on a solid match, both men were on their game that’s for sure. However Cody did suffer a loss, which set him off and he pushed his brother Goldust away. I don’t see when this break-up will happen, but I do see one brother screwing the other out of a win and perhaps a feud down the line.

I wouldn’t mind a rematch between Cody and Alberto because they do seem to work quite well together in the ring.

Alexander Rusev vs. Xavier Woods

The only worthwhile part of this segment was Lana, because she is pretty awesome. This was barely a match and R-Truth came out and helped Woods, causing a DQ win for Rusev. I know they want to showcase the new talent, he’s a brute of a man, but this is not really ideal.

RAW_1092_Photo_133

Again this felt like a lazy bit, but there was some offense shown on Rusev, showing a gleam of hope but he’ll win come Extreme Rules.

Los Matadores vs. 3MB (Heath Slater & Drew McIntyre)

This match was basically on to further the feud between El Torito and Hornswoggle, and the pair have a match on the Extreme Rules PPV. I like both wrestlers and to see them get TV time and a feud is really promising. I had no idea there was interest in a full blown feud, but there we have it and I am sure their pending match will be pretty good.

This match ending with a win for 3MB, yes you read that correctly! Heath Slater picked up the win and we all sat stunned!

Stephanie Apology and WWE Diva’s Champsionship Match: Paige (c) vs. Brie Bella

Stephanie McMahon came out to offer her apology to Daniel Bryan after last week’s brutal attack by Kane. I absolutely love Stephanie, she is one of the best on the mic, she tries to sound sincere but we all know she really isn’t. Daniel Bryan comes out with his new wife Brie Bella (love that they have put them together here and I hope they continue to do so), and he blasted Stephanie as we were expecting. He was in a neck brace and selling he wasn’t in good shape but assured Stephanie he would defend his titles against Kane.

Stephanie then decided to give Brie Bella the chance to be Diva’s Champion and made the match for Brie to face the champion Paige.

RAW_1092_Photo_175

The match then got going, and Paige had most of the offense but Brie did get in a few good moves. The match was not too long but from what I got to see there is a good match between these two in the future. The match came to a stop when Kane’s music hit and Daniel Bryan was expecting him to come down the ramp, but Kane rose up from under the ring and attempted to bring Brie Bella back down with him. Daniel Bryan attempted to fight back, and eventually hit Kane with a wrench. But Kane did the sit up and , hit Daniel Bryan and almost got Brie again. A really solid segment to sell the feud, and backstage we saw a shaken up Brie and an angry Daniel, Stephanie as we could see was hoping he couldn’t compete at Extreme Rules but he promised her he would and then Brie called her a bitch. I do see a fight between these two down the line!

WWE Intercontinental Title Tournament Final: Bad News Barrett vs. Rob Van Dam

Bad News Barrett starts off on his podium and delivers some BAD NEWS! Stating that Rob Van Dam is a has been and he is the future, B-N-B! The match was easily best of the night, both men put on a heck of a show and definitely had chemistry together in the ring. I had a hunch of who would win, but they did keep me guessing all the same as RVD did look as if he might score a win.

RAW_1092_Photo_203

The match was interrupted by Cesaro and then Jack Swagger, causing Bad News Barrett a distraction to get in his finisher! Big E Bad News is coming! After the match there was a beat down with Cesaro, Swagger and RVD. I foresee a feud between all three, and it should be very good.

I might add I am loving Bad News Barrett, he has never been better and I am happy to see such a great push!

Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns

Before the match would begin, Evolution stood off against The Shield in the ring, and then it happened … Ric Flair’s music hit and the living legend made his way out. Many fans such as myself have been wondering if the 4th member of Evolution would make an appearance and he did. He hugged his friends and gave a speech about how good they were, but as it turned out he was talking about The Shield and endorsed the next generation.

RAW_1092_Photo_247

Not impressed, the match went underway and it was a brutal match with tensions high. Each of the six men in this feud have been selling it and this was so different, you would believe they really did want to massacre each other. The match dissolved of course and Evolution beat down The Shield and for a moment they thought they were on top, but the ninja that he is Seth Rollins managed to get on the top turn buckle and turn things around. The Shield were left standing tall in the ring.

A great match and segment to end the show, can’t wait for Extreme Rules! My predicts are below …

Marcey’s Extreme Rules Predictions

El Torito vs. Hornswoggle (Pre-Show ‘WeeLC’ Match)
My Prediction: I think El Torito will take this one out, but I don’t think the feud will end though.

Rob Van Dam vs. Jack Swagger vs. Cesaro (Triple Threat Match)
My Prediction: I actually think RVD will take this one, it will continue the feud easily if he picks up a win. It should be a great match too.

R-Truth & Xavier Woods vs. Alexander Rusev (2-on-1 Handicap Match)
My Prediction: Rusev

Divas Champion Paige vs. Tamina Snuka
My Prediction: This could go either way but I do see Paige retaining her title.

Intercontinental Champion Big E vs. Bad News Barrett
My Prediction: I see Bad News Barrett winning and a possible feud between the two.

John Cena vs. Bray Wyatt (Steel Cage Match)
My Prediction: Bray Wyatt basically has to win this, so I am picking him. This is surely going to be brutal and I think we will see a different Cena.

The Shield vs. Evolution
My Prediction: I think Evolution might just win, because I see this feud continuing on for longer, but I can’t see it being a fair fight.

WWE World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan vs. Kane (Extreme Rules Match)
My Prediction: This should be a brutal match, but I don’t see Daniel Bryan dropping the belt this early. I think he will win but barely.
