Bede’s Movie Exchange Club Blog-A-Thon Video Review #2: The War Room (1993)

What’s a Blog-a-thon? This blog-a-thon is a challenge, its participants have chosen films the other has not seen to watch and review.
November Blog-a-thon criteria:
Hidden 90′s Gems
Why A.J. Chose This Film For Bede: “When it comes to political campaigning, most people usually only see the big rallying speeches and irritating advertising (as I, a resident of the U.S., just did during our recent presidential election). But “The War Room” takes viewers behind the scenes and does an amazing job of showing us how the whole thing is run, following Bill Clinton’s bid for the presidency in 1992. Some might think it goes soft on Clinton and all but casts the opposing Bush campaign as a bunch of mustache-twirling bad guys, but directors Chris Hegedus and D.A. Pennebaker capture the intensity of dodging scandal and appealing to the public in a way that ought to enrapture anyone, regardless of political mindset.”

Here’s my video review of the film. Enjoy!
