GRAVEYARD SHIFT (1990)
So I needed to find a replacement for Suicide Club since my DVD was faulty. I decided I would finally check out Graveyard Shift, the film that Eric Walkuski and Ammon Gilbert have been going on about since I met them. Did it live up to those oh so high expectations? You bet your ass it did!
This was a great little adaptation of a Stephen King short story, and done correctly. It managed to draw it out for a feature film (even though it’d be better suited to a Masters Of Horror type show), and so successfully. If you want a good example of an adaptation and taking a smaller idea and making it into a bigger one, this is it. Well written, directed and acted this was an absolute blast.
