It’s a Good Life

Written by Rod Serling based on It’s A Good Life by Jerome Bixby, directed by James Sheldon. It stars John Larch, Cloris Leachman, Billy Mumy, Don Keefer and Alice Frost.
Plot: “On an isolated family farm in Peakesville, Ohio, young Anthony Fremont, who has vast mental powers but lacks emotional development, holds his terrified family and neighbors in thrall to his every juvenile wish.“
It’s Still a Good Life
(Episode 30 – 2002-2003)
Written by Ira Steven Behr, based on characters created by Jerome Bixby, directed by Allen Kroeker. It stars Cloris Leachman, Bill Mumy and Liliana Mumy with Forest Whitaker as the host.
Plot: “40 years later, god-like Anthony Fremont is still holding Peaksville, Ohio under a reign of terror. However, things are about to change when his daughter turns out to have similar powers.”
Highlights include:
* Welcome back to The Twilight Zone!
* Both Marcey and Bede hadn’t seen the two segments previously.
* It’s A Good Life could be one of the most unsettling episodes.
* With It’s Still a Good Life it’s amazing they got Bill Mumy and Cloris Leachman to reprise their roles.
