Welcome to this podcast series from The Super Network with Podcasters Of Horror! This podcast is all about horror anthologies from television and films and it began with a retrospective on Mick Garris’ Masters Of Horror series and continued on with looking Fear Itself, with bonus episodes on Goosebumps and Freddy’s Nightmares.
Your hosts ‘Super’ Marcey Papandrea and ‘The Terrible Australian’ Bede Jermyn both back for episode 31 and returning to The Twilight Zone! This episode Marcey and Bede look at two episodes from the original series with To Serve Man and The Little People. These two episodes were chosen as they inspired parts of two Simpson’s Tree House Of Horror segments with Hungry Are The Damned from Season 1 and The Genesis Tub from Season 8. Did Marcey and Bede chose wisely with these two episodes? Listen in!

To Serve Man
(Episode 89/Season 3 Episode 24)
Written by Rod Serling, based on the short story of the same name by Damon Knight, directed by Richard L Bare. Starring Lloyd Bochner, Richard Kiel, Susan Cummings and Joseph Ruskin.
Plot: “An alien race comes to Earth, promising peace and sharing technology. A linguist and his team set out to translate the aliens’ language, using a book whose title they deduce is “To Serve Man.”
The Little People
(Episode 93/Season 3 Episode 28)
Written by Rod Serling, directed by William F. Claxton. Starring Joe Maross and Claude Akins.
Plot: “On a desolate planet, two astronauts discover an entire society populated by incredibly small beings. One of the astronauts decides to rule the society as a god.”

Highlights include:
* Welcome back to The Twilight Zone!
* Both Marcey and Bede hadn’t seen the two episodes previously.
* To Serve Man surprised both hosts featuring Richard Kiel as the alien.
* Which episode did Bede love and which didn’t quite work for him?
* The Little People does so much with so little (pun not intended).
* The Simpsons used the episodes as reference but did their own thing, which works well.
* Which episode did Marcey think would have made a good film?
* Ratings for each segment!
* Plus much, much more!
