while you can sit back and say ‘uuuhh yeah right … you’re reading too much into it or you’re taking too many drugs etc’ still, the film i saw, the guy had his stuff DOWN COLD … you couldn’t say it wasn’t true because this fact was wrong etc … all the facts are there and correct in that he has gathered everything and strung it together very well … now whether you want to believe with a couple key statements he takes from these facts is something else entirely … but the guy’s film i saw is no dummy and it was very good …

and seriously, ‘the shining’ still rocks as a movie … the feeling that film gives me just covers me every time and it’s amazing how kubrick always gets me with that film … very good film … also ‘eyes wide shut’ is another stunner … just a film that kind of knocks you back on your heels and makes you just sit up the rest of the night thinking about … everything … kubrick was a one of a kind ain’t no denying that
